Guarding the Good Deposit, Sarah Seo

My name is Sarah Seo. I am from Denton, Texas. I am in the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. I enjoy being trained in truth, gospel preaching, and other practical service. I would like to share some things I enjoyed during two years at the Training.

My work is prayer. Once Watchman Nee asked, why do we work so much and pray so little, when we can accomplish so much more by prayer. My experience matches this statement. I was able to save people by prayer. When I go to college campuses to preach the gospel, I pray regarding preaching the gospel with my gospel partner beforehand. While I am walking on the campus I pray to be one with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17, John 15:4, 5) for His work and to be one with my partner (John 17:21). Then the Lord has a way to pour out His blessing upon us in preaching gospel to people. It is man's privilege to preach the gospel. When we speak, the Lord speaks in us and with us to people. Many times we experience the Lord's presence, which is His blessing to us; as a result we are able to save some and have further fellowship with them in God's Word. Our real work is prayer.

My work is contacting people. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world.” God loves people. He wants everyone to be saved and come to the full-knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). God became a man in order to gain man (John 1:14) so that man may become His corporate expression, the Church, the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). This is what is on God's heart. Since God loved the world, people, I love people, and my work is contacting people.

Truth is our capital. Not only we Christian workers need to know the truth, but we also need to be diligent to present ourselves approved by God, an unashamed workman, cutting straight the word of the truth (2 Timothy 2:15). I am so thankful to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim for perfecting me in the truth for two years. I have learned more truth in two years than I did in my previous twenty years as a Christian. Now I am more solid than ever before in the truth. I don't want to remain as a little child tossed by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching (Ephesians 4:14).

My living is my serving. Working for the Lord is not what I can do for the Lord, but my living is my real service. My living is my testimony before the Lord and before men. “It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20). For example, when helping out with household chores, my natural tendency is to do them quickly and without much attention to detail. But, if I am really enjoying the Lord, I do the same work in my spirit and in a more detailed way. He takes care of my sloppiness. Therefore, in the little things I need to yield to the Lord, let Him be my Head (Colossians 1:18), and follow His speaking within. The result will be a strong testimony before the Lord and before people.

Every member is indispensable. Every member of the Body of Christ is born of God (1 Corinthians 12:13). We are one Body and members one of another (1 Corinthians 12:27). The members I don't appreciate much are still chosen by God and loved by God. Every member is so dear, so lovable, and so precious to God. As I am getting older, I realize that I am nothing, but every member of the Body is indispensable.
